Meet Our Team

Tanequa Dorsey, LCSW (she/hers)

Life can be exceptionally challenging. Often times we’re conditioned to believe that we should always have “our stuff” together no matter what; and that it’s not ok, to not be ok. The fact is…we’re human, and sometimes life can just be a lot. Why maneuver it alone?

During our work together, I offer empathy and compassion in a safe and non-judgmental environment. I believe whole-heartedly in the therapeutic process and am eager to guide you on your journey.

In addition to private practice, I have worked with individuals and families via community-based agencies and inpatient treatment facilities which has allowed me opportunities to work with clients from various backgrounds with a wide range of difficulties impacting emotional wellness.

I am trained in various theoretical orientations; however, in my clinical practice I utilize Cognitive Behavioral and Solution Focused approaches to address challenges relating to emerging adulthood, depression, anxiety, stress management, current and past trauma, loss and grief, and other life transitions.

I especially enjoy supporting millennials and Gen Zs with life challenges such as belonging, finding their voice, gaining confidence, maneuvering through friendships/relationships, adapting to change, and issues relating to finances and transitioning into careers.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy working out, reading a good book, or binge watching one of my favorite TV shows.

Together we will work to find resolutions that will support you in creating a more fulfilling life. I am excited to assist you with your journey to well-being.
