The Journey Is Yours; Embrace It.

Trauma-Informed Therapy

Virtual Services Available for those in

Georgia and Florida

At Embracing Hope Counseling and Consulting, we create a healing space where Black women can exhale, release the weight they’ve been carrying, and reconnect with the parts of themselves that have been silenced, stretched thin, or forgotten.

We specialize in supporting Black women navigating:

  • The “strong Black woman” schema
  • Chronic self‑abandonment
  • Generational and cultural trauma
  • High‑functioning anxiety
  • Depression masked by resilience
  • Caregiver burnout
  • Spiritual confusion or religious trauma
  • Identity loss from constantly being “the dependable one”

You deserve a place where you don’t have to be strong, where your softness is welcome, and where your healing is centered.

As a Black woman and therapist, I understand the unique pressures, expectations, and unspoken burdens that so many Black women carry. My work is rooted in compassion, cultural awareness, and the belief that you deserve rest, joy, and emotional freedom — not just survival.

My goal is to help you:

  • Reclaim your voice
  • Release inherited expectations
  • Break cycles of emotional suppression
  • Build healthier boundaries
  • Reconnect with your authentic self

You don’t have to navigate this journey alone.

Your 4-Phase Healing Framework

A culturally attuned, trauma‑informed process designed to guide Black women from survival mode to embodied wholeness.

Phase 1

A logo of a person with wings on a white background.

Awareness

We explore what brought you here — the roles you’ve carried, the expectations placed on you, and the emotional patterns you’ve learned to normalize. This phase builds safety, trust, and grounding.

Phase 2

A logo of a person with wings on a white background.

Understanding

We identify the beliefs, narratives, and generational messages that shaped your identity. You’ll learn emotional regulation tools and begin challenging the internalized pressure to be “strong” at all times.

Phase 3

Healing

We work to release old wounds, reprogram limiting beliefs, and reconnect you with your inner healer. This is where emotional, spiritual, and cultural restoration begins.

Phase 4

Being

You integrate your growth into daily life — not as the “strong one,” but as your whole, authentic self. We build tools to help you maintain peace, boundaries, and emotional clarity.

“During the storms of life that show little love, may your heart be wings and fly above.”

My therapist has really challenged me to see myself for who I really am. During those moments I have finally started to get to know myself for the first time in my life. I am slowly beginning to love all of me! Some days are better than others but I wouldn’t trade this journey for anything.

This has been a life-changing experience! I began the process broken and totally uncertain of myself. Today, I wouldn’t even recognize the person I have grown to be due to having such an awesome therapist.
