Clinical Therapist (Part-Time)

Job Description:

Embracing Hope Counseling and Consulting LLC is a community of helping professionals working to foster inner healing by enhancing self-understanding and self-acceptance in a supportive environment. We are a fun, dynamic, and collaborative group of clinicians who value working collaboratively and helping to improve the overall wellness of our communities.

Clinical therapist will provide outpatient individual and/or group therapy to clients of Embracing Hope Counseling and Consulting LLC. Clinical therapy services include treatment of adults, adolescents, couples and families. Treatment specialties may include: Trauma, EMDR, Brainspotting, etc.

Reports to: Owner and/or Clinical Director

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in counseling or social work; and
  • Active, unrestricted license (PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT or LPC) in the State of Georgia.  A copy must be provided to Embracing Hope Counseling and Consulting LLC.
  • Available to complete at least 8 client sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by Embracing Hope Counseling and Consulting LLC.
  • Other Qualification Preferences:
    Prior experience in a private practice setting.
  • At least 1 year experience post-unrestricted licensure.
  • Have at least one niche market for counseling services (i.e., children, teens, trauma, anxiety, grief, anger management, etc.).

Hours:

Work hours and schedule may vary depending on client and Embracing Hope Counseling and Consulting LLC needs.  Hours may include some evenings and/or weekends. Therapist is not guaranteed a minimum number of clients or sessions per week.  However, it is expected that Therapist will be available to hold at least 8 client sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by Embracing Hope Counseling and Consulting LLC.  Client sessions are held either virtually or in the offices of Embracing Hope Counseling and Consulting LLC.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1.      Perform virtual or on-site clinical counseling services to clients of Embracing Hope Counseling and Consulting LLC, as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies. 

2.      Regular and reliable attendance and timely arrival to sessions is required.

3.      Maintain proper licensure and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Embracing Hope Counseling and Consulting LLC.

4.      Respond to client requests for service or calls within 24 business hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, email, etc. Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services to such clients. 

5.      Communicate with a client’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.

6.      Timely complete written records for each client including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contact notes, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time-to-time by Embracing Hope Counseling and Consulting LLC or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the client by Friday of each week (documentation for sessions/contact completed on Fridays is due by the following Friday).  Keep client files accurate and up to date.

7.      Charge and collect payments from clients for services provided consistent with the policy and rate for such services as established by Embracing Hope Counseling and Consulting LLC.

8.      Attend mandatory staff meetings and training as directed by Embracing Hope Counseling and Consulting LLC.

9.      Conduct and regulate counseling services in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the good will and reputation of Embracing Hope Counseling and Consulting LLC.  Be respectful of, cooperative, and collaborative with co-workers/colleagues.

10.     Other duties which may by assigned by Embracing Hope Counseling and Consulting LLC.
